You never know who is going to cross your path, at the very perfect time to remind you of exactly what you need to hear.
The summer I was separated, I was receiving a Reiki and Chakra Clearing Energy Massage. The practitioner had her hands three inches above my body …scanning and using her intuition to lead her healing hands where they needed to go.
“What is going on with you?” she asked……”It looks like you are taking a lot into your gut.”
She was absolutely right, as I had developed digestive issues during this time of stress and impending transition.
I told her…..”Yes….well I am making the final decision on whether to separate with a man who has been in my life for 17 years.”
“Oh,” she replied……..”Relationships are just here for us to learn from.”
She said it so simply then I literally had one of those “aha moments,” in which the BIG bubble of drama and fear about this decision became a tangible and manageable thing that I could actually get some distance from and realize …..without dismissing it…..that it actually did not have to be that BIG!
I would not even recognize the gal that day that gifted me with so much more than hands-on healing.
Gotta love that Alanis Morissette song…..What If God Was One Of Us……
